A very quick little recipe for tilapia fish that we are going to poach in soy sauce flavored with sake, mirin, and ginger. Really you will love it
½ cup (125 ml) sesame seeds
4 tilapia fillets, about 150 g (5 oz) each
15 ml (1 tbsp.) Olive oil
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
15 ml (1 tbsp.) Chopped ginger
½ cup (125 ml) honey
¼ cup (60 ml) lime juice
Preheat the oven to 200 ° C (400 ° F).
Place the sesame seeds on a large plate and coat the fish fillets. Place the fillets in a baking dish. Reserve.
In a skillet, heat the oil and sauté the garlic and ginger over medium-high heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add honey and lime juice.
Reduce for about 5 minutes or until the sauce coats the back of a spoon. Pour the sauce over the fillets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the meat easily breaks up with a fork.
Serve with rice and broccoli.
