Grilled Rockfish Recipe

Rockfish is one of the fishes this is extensively utilized in Asian cuisine and served both deep-fried complete or steamed. It is served with the sauce or pesto to get the moderate delicate flavor. The flesh coloration of the rockfish meat can be brown or red. The brown one incorporates extra oil in them, even as the purple one has less oil. There are numerous species of rockfish however only a few of them are eatable.

  •   Garlic 
  • 1  Clove 
  • 1/8 cups Pine Nuts 
  • 1/8 cups Parmesan Cheese 
  • 1 cups Basil Leaves 
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Zest 
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil 
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice 
  • 1/4 tsp Salt 
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper 
  • 1-2 lbs Rockfish  


  • Step 1
  • First, we make pesto so take the following ingredients.
    1 Large – Garlic Clove (or two small)
    1/8 Cup – Pine Nuts*
    1/8 cup – Parmesan Cheese
    1 Cup – Fresh Basil Leaves
    1 TBS – Lemon Zest
    1 TBS – Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    1 TBS – Fresh Lemon Juice
    1/4 tsp – Salt
    1/4 tsp – Black Pepper
  • Step 2
  • Now blend all the ingredients until it gets smoothed. After it is done place it aside.
  • Step 3
  • Take the rockfish and coat the pieces with olive oil and season them with salt and black pepper from both the sides.
  • Step 4
  • Preheat your grill to 400 degrees so that the fish does not stick. And make sure that the grates are well oiled and cleaned.

    You can also pan-fry the flesh side down over the medium-high heat for 5 minutes or until it is cooked properly.

  • Grill from both sides. when it is done give the rockfish a spritz of fresh lemon juice and serve the rockfish in pesto and with grilled vegetables.
